Mrs. Delthonette Gordon – Brown - Principal

Mrs. Gordon-Brown has been an educator for
almost 2 decades. She holds a Bachelor of
Arts degree in Secondary Education with 
emphasis on English Language and School
Counselling, and a Master of Science in Human
Resource Development. She has served in the 
educational arena as classroom teacher,
Grade Coordinator and Head of Departments
(Language Department, and Health & Family 
Life Ed Department respectively). 
Mrs. Brown is actively involved in music
ministry and enjoys being engaged in all
aspects of church life. She enjoys writing
songs and poems. Mrs. Brown is married
to Andrew and they have one son,
who is currently a student at WAA.  

 

 

Carmie Ouzounian – Kindergarten Teacher:

Mrs. O has over 20 years of experience working
with young learners. She spent 12 years teaching
in a daycare setting and has spent many summers
working with kids at summer camp. She began
teaching  kindergarten in the 1990's. Mrs. Ouzounian
received a B.S. in Elementary Education from
Andrews University in 1985. She has endorsements
in reading, History, and Religion, and has
received additional training through Chapman
University, Columbus State, and Andrews University. 
Mrs. O is involved in many activities at
WAA including organizing and updating
our library each year.

 

 

Linda Davis – 1st and 2nd Grade Teacher:

Mrs. Davis has been in the education field
for over 15 years. She has been a dedicated
teacher at WAA for many years. Mrs. Davis
has a Bachelor's Degrees in Business
Administration and then  completed a
Master's in Education in 2014. She is
married to James Davis and they have
a daughter, Faith, who is a graduate of
 WAA. In her free time, she enjoys
reading, cooking, and spending time
with family and friends.

 

 

 

                  

 

Leesa Boddie – 3rd and 4th Grade Teacher:

Ms. Boddie is an Ohio native and has recently
joined the WAA team. Ms. Boddie is a recent
graduate from Oakwood University, where
she studied Elementary Education. She is
excited to be teaching the 3rd and
4th grade class at Worthington
Adventist Academy.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

Barbara Maycock – 5th and 6th Grade Teacher: 

Mrs. Maycock has a variety of educational experiences,
including 11 years on the island of Saipan as both a teacher and the administrator of Saipan Seventh-day Adventist School. 

For the first 3 years here at WAA, she served as the art teacher on a part-time basis, and she also previously taught many of our students at Stepping Stones Learning Center. Mrs. Maycock earned both her B.S. in Public Relations and her Master's 

Mrs. Maycock has two young sons and is married to a teacher. She has been a positive addition to our staff.

 

 

Kenya S. Hanson - 7th and 8th Grade Teacher:

Kenya Hanson is an ardent worker who has dedicated his time and talents to the service of the Lord and the advancement of education. He hails from the parish of St. Elizabeth, in Jamaica but has now made Worthington his new home. He has a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Sport and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Education.

Mr. Hanson has over 14 years of experience as an educator; he has served as a teacher, head of department and later as an assistant principal. Because of his passion for sports and the holistic development of the students, he volunteered his time to coaching Track and Field and football teams, singing, as well as organizing a wide array of programs to meet the needs of the staff and students.

Mr. Hanson is a hardworking, dedicated and disciplined individual who does not only excel in the teaching profession but also maintains a very active church life.  He is an ordained Elder in the Seventh Day Adventist Church and has served as the Head Elder, Family Life Director, Men’s Ministry Director and Pathfinder Director, and more. He is married to  Refhalee and together they have two beautiful daughters.

Mr. Hanson is guided by the principles of the Lord and holds strong to the mantra; “Success does not come by wishful thinking, but by hard work.”

 

 

 

 

Becky Hall – Secretary: 

Miss Hall joined our staff in 2015. She
graduated from Southern Adventist University
with a Bachelor's degree in History and
minors in Biblical Archaeology and
Religion. Miss Hall is a graduate of
Griswold Christian Academy, now WAA. 
We are pleased to have her as
